The offer:
- Level 2/3 AAT apprenticeship over 18 months, continuing on to level 4 and beyond.
- We will provide full study support and a broad range of experience as well as further support should students wish to carry on to study their chartered accountancy or chartered tax exams.
- Starting salary of £18,000 per annum which will be regularly reviewed and increased on passing AAT levels.
- 20 days annual leave, increasing to 22 days when AAT qualified, on top of bank holidays, and an extra day off for your birthday, plus the offices close between Christmas and New Year.
- An extra day of leave per 2 year’s of service, capped at 30.
- Flexible start and finish times around the core hours of 10-4.
- We support our team both in their career development and in their daily enjoyment of their job, through regular staff socials, birthdays off, free fruit and an early finish on a Friday to name a few.
The right candidate must be ambitious and presentable with a can-do attitude. They must have a minimum of 5 GCSE’s (or equivalent) at grade 5 and above in Maths and English and they must be able to explain why a career in accountancy is of interest to them.
Initial duties will involve:
- Bookkeeping
- VAT returns
- Payroll
- Covering reception and welcoming visitors when required
- Ad-hoc office duties
Moving on to:
- Accounts preparation
- Corporation tax returns
- Personal tax returns
Study
You will study for your Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) Advanced Diploma in Accounting Level 3 in Manchester though the day release apprenticeship programme. It is expected that once passed you will then continue on to studying your level 4 AAT and ultimately on to the chartered accountancy or ACCA route.
