What I do at Langricks
I joined the company in 2014 and am responsible for completion of personal tax returns and P11Ds, plus ad hoc work on tax related issues such as dividend planning and remuneration strategy. I deal with frequent client queries and issues of a tax nature.
Life before Langricks
I qualified as a Chartered Accountant at KPMG Leeds in 1992, training in an audit department before moving into the Owner Managed Business department, where I was responsible for tax compliance and advisory work. After spending several years in industry, in 2006 I joined a small accountancy practice as I enjoy working in this environment. I subsequently specialized in personal tax compliance and advice, a role that has continued.
Life outside of Langricks
I have two teenage boys who are both sports mad. Much of my spare time is spent taking the boys to junior football matches and training, and other sports events including athletics and tennis. Myself and the boys are also season tickets holders at Huddersfield Town. I also enjoy walking the dog.
