Gemma Giles
Payroll Manager
What I do at Langricks
I have joined the team in order to provide a customised payroll service to our clients and to ensure all clients are receiving the very best service from Langricks when it comes to their payroll and workplace pensions. A key thing for me is to create a service that people are not only happy with themselves but will recommend to others. Once settled, I will be training for my ACA qualification.
Life before Langricks
When I left college back in 2008, I joined another firm of accountants where I completed my AAT apprenticeship. During the final part of my apprenticeship I took on the task of taking over their payroll department. Up to leaving the practice at the end of 2020, I managed the payroll team as well as completing self-assessment tax returns for all of the personal tax clients. I decided it was time to move on and use my experience to ramp up the payroll department here at Langricks.
Outside of Langricks
In my spare time, I run a small Candle Business which is just in its first few months of development. As well as getting messy with wax, I like to try my hand at new recipes as I love cooking and baking especially for other people. I would consider myself a social butterfly, so when I can I like to be out with friends or family, eating, drinking or visiting new places.
