Manager/Associate Director Wilmslow – opportunity to progress to Director/Shareholder

Job purpose
We are growing at a fast-pace and we are looking for someone with ambition and the drive to deliver our services at the high level we strive for and to help us retain the excellent reputation we already have in the market place.
Duties will involve:
- Managing a team of staff
- Managing a portfolio of clients
- Review of annual accounts
- Review of corporation tax
- Preparation of annual accounts for our larger clients
- Preparation of corporation tax returns
- Preparing detailed management accounts in excel
- Training staff
- Business development and attracting new clients to the business (albeit this is not essential)
- Meeting potential new clients, sending proposals and helping on board new clients
Is this the role for you
The right person should have at least 5 years’ experience of working in a practice including managing clients. They must be experienced in completing year-end accounts and be AAT, ACA or ACCA qualified. They should be friendly and presentable with a can-do attitude. It would be advantageous to have experience using Iris.

My name is Emma and I am a Client Relationship Manager at Langricks and have been here now for 7 years. I primarily support and build existing relationships with new and existing client aswell as ensuring the smooth running of the practice.
Chris Langrick the founder of the business is continually looking to improve the company to make it the best place to work. Flexible working hours, hybrid working, regular social events, office closed throughout the Christmas period have all been implemented since I started.
So, what do I personally like about Langricks? Well, the location is fab (important right!), right in the heart of Wilmslow, good for lunches and shopping and not far from M & S and John Lewis always a bonus! The mix of staff is great too, the office is lovely, it has a nice atmosphere, very laid back. It really feels like a family, not too big so everybody is close. The days go by quickly with office banter flying around, time flies when you are having fun!!
We all seem to have the same values, putting our clients first and foremost. Being part of a team that is focused on helping our clients succeed is actually really important to me and I have built many strong relationships with numerous clients.
I also value the way I’m treated as an employee, I have a great Director Mike Bowker who manages the Wilmslow office and whom I report to, he’s very supportive, we have a good relationship and he seems to care about me and the rest of the team. I feel fortunate to have a great boss and be part of this growing business.
