We are looking for a friendly, professional and experienced bookkeeper to join our growing team in our beautiful Wilmslow office.

Job purpose:
We are growing at a fast-pace and we are looking for someone with ambition and the drive to deliver our services at the high level we strive for and to help us retain the excellent reputation we already have in the market place.
Duties will involve:

- Completing weekly, monthly and quarterly bookkeeping for a variety of clients
- Preparation of VAT returns and management accounts
- Responding to clients’ queries (regarding Sage, Xero, bookkeeping etc) in a timely and professional manner
- Liaising with clients and HMRC regarding VAT
- Contributing to weekly team meetings
- Training trainees and junior team members
Is this the role for you?
The right person should have experience of working in a practice. They should be friendly and presentable with a can-do attitude. It would be advantageous to have experience using Iris, Sage, Xero and QuickBooks and they must have English and Maths GCSEs at a grade C or above.

Chris Langrick the founder of the business is continually looking to improve the company to make it the best place to work. Flexible working hours, hybrid working, regular social events, office closed throughout the Christmas period have all been implemented in the last few years.
So, what do I personally like about Langricks? Well, the location is fab (important right!), right in the heart of Wilmslow, good for lunches and shopping and not far from M & S and John Lewis always a bonus! The mix of staff is great too, the office is lovely, it has a great atmosphere, very laid back. It really feels like a family, not too big so everybody is close. The days go by quickly with office banter flying around, time flies when you are having fun!!
We all seem to have the same values, putting our clients first and foremost. Being part of a team that is focused on helping our clients succeed is actually really important to me and I have built many strong relationships with numerous clients.
I also value the way I’m treated as an employee, I have a great Director Mike Bowker who leads the Wilmslow office and whom I report to, he’s very supportive, we have a great relationship and he seems to care about me and the rest of the team. I feel fortunate to have a great boss and be part of this growing business.
