We are looking for a friendly, professional and experienced qualified accountant to join our growing team in our beautiful Holmfirth office.
Job purpose:
We are growing at a fast-pace and we are looking for someone with ambition and the drive to deliver our services at the high level we strive for and to help us retain the excellent reputation we already have in the market place.
Duties will involve:
- Accounts preparation
- Preparing corporation and business tax computations
- Managing a portfolio of clients, interacting with them on a regular basis
- Attending client meetings
- Prepare and understand budgets for clients
- Technical awareness for accounting and tax changes that would impact clients
- An ability to prepare management accounts and financial models in excel
- Training junior members of the team
- Assisting with remuneration/dividend planning
- Assisting with statutory audits as required on occasion
- Assisting with ad-hoc projects and accountancy work when required
Is this the role for you?
The right person should have at least 5 years’ experience of working in a practice. They must be experienced in completing year-end accounts and ideally be AAT, ACA or ACCA qualified or qualified by experience. They should be friendly and presentable with a can-do attitude, and must have experience training junior team members. It would be advantageous to have experience using Iris, Sage, Xero and QuickBooks and they must have English and Maths GCSEs at a grade 6 or above.
