We are looking for an 18 year old plus, to join our Holmfirth team either in our accounts team or our tax team.
What will the apprentice be doing?
Initial duties will involve:
- VAT returns
- Ad-hoc office duties
Moving on to the following with suitable training:
- Accounts preparation
- Corporation tax returns
- Personal tax returns
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
You will study for your Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) Advanced Diploma in Accounting Level 3 either at Kirklees College in Huddersfield or at First Intuition in Manchester through the day release apprenticeship programme.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
It is expected that once passed you will then continue on to studying your level 4 AAT and ultimately on to the chartered accountancy or ACCA route. Following qualification there will be the option to move into the tax, audit or accounting departments depending where your interest lies.
What will the salary be?
A starting salary of £16,000, salary will increase each time an exam is passed from Level 4 onwards
What are the hours?
We offer flexible working hours between 8-6pm. Hybrid working from home 2 days a week is also offered where possible for staff who can work independently. Monday to Friday. Total hours per week: 37.5, once the weekly hours have been completed employees can leave the office from 4pm onwards on a Friday.
